Doula Program

The Birth Center at St. John's provides referrals for labor and post partum doulas to assist the mother and her support person in labor and as being a new mother at home. The doula can provide assistance with birth planning as well and physical and emotional support during labor. Constant attendance during labor and birth enhances the experience for both mom and baby. In addition, a doula's speciality areas include breastfeeding guidance, comfort techniques for mother and infant care.
